Steve Blackwell has been painting watercolours since his early high school years. Since moving to Muskoka in 1998, the beautiful surroundings have inspired Steve to new heights. Most known for his rural scenes, elegant winter landscapes and his historic view of the disappearing farm, Steve has recently turned his talents towards the waterways of Muskoka and Georgian Bay. He is quickly becoming recognized for his lighthouses and his water and mist images.

Steve has a degree in Fine Arts and Art History from the University of Toronto and has received training from several renowned artists. Steve now gives watercolour lessons and is passing along his unique techniques to others.

His work can be viewed in many galleries in and around Muskoka and in local resorts and businesses.
